The campaign will raise awareness of the pernicious effects of Colorado’s 2006 “show me your papers” laws and introduce a new toll-free hotline to allow individuals to report and document civil rights abuses.   WHO: Affected community members, allies and advocacy organizations   WHAT: Hundreds of Colorado leaders launch statewide documentation hotline as part of campaign to repeal Colorado’s “show me your papers” law, share their testimony on its negative impacts.   WHEN/WHERE: Saturday, September 15 *10:00am marcher begin walking from Tivoli Center/Auraria Campus **10:30am Press Conference begins on Auraria Parkway Bridge that crosses over Interstate 25 Interviews with community members available during and after press conference VISUALS: Hundreds of marchers, advocates, families, hotline staffers, and a giant banner announcing the toll-free hotline over Interstate 25.   BACKGROUND: The Campaign to Unite Colorado is founded on the principal that every person in Colorado deserves to live and raise his or her family with trust, dignity and safety.
